Do Telegram directories check creator links?

It varies from one directory to the next, and there is no standard, so ask each one what it checks and when. A link check can show that a username exists and is a personal account at that moment. It cannot show who runs the account or that it stays active.

What a link check can prove

Opening a public t.me page shows whether a username exists and whether it belongs to a personal account, a channel, a group or a bot. That is the whole signal. It is cheap, it can be automatic and it is useful, because copycats often set up a channel or a bot with a creator's name and photo. You can run the same check yourself with the Telegram link checker.

What a link check cannot prove

A check is a photograph of one moment. It leaves several things open:

  • Who is behind the account. A link check does not confirm identity.
  • That the account stays active. Usernames are renamed, accounts are deleted and a personal account can turn into a channel.
  • That the photo shows the person who runs the account.
  • The person's age. A directory that does not hold ID documents cannot prove it.

Questions to ask any directory

Before you trust a listing, look for plain answers to these. A directory that answers all five in public is easier to trust than one that only says "verified". For the account side of the same question, see how to tell if a Telegram creator is real.

  • What exactly is checked: only that the link works, or also who owns the account?
  • When is it checked: once at submission, or again later?
  • Are personal accounts told apart from channels, groups and bots?
  • What happens when someone reports a bad listing, and where is the report page?
  • Does the site say plainly what it does not check?

What TeleSearch checks, and what it does not

When a link is submitted, TeleSearch opens its public t.me page and confirms it is a personal account. Channels, groups, bots and duplicates are refused, and doubtful submissions wait for a manual review. Profile photos are re-checked weekly and flagged for staff when they disappear.

After submission the link itself is not re-checked on a schedule: a listing is reviewed when someone reports it. Identity is not confirmed, except that the "Verified owner" badge marks a creator who proved control of the account. The full list is on how we verify, and is TeleSearch legit sums up what it is and is not.

Questions

Does a checked link mean the creator is real?

No. It means the username was a personal Telegram account when it was checked. It says nothing about who is behind it.

How can I check a Telegram link myself?

Open the t.me link and look at the button: Send Message means a personal account, while Join Channel or View in Telegram means a channel. The Telegram link checker on TeleSearch does the same lookup for you.

What happens on TeleSearch when a link stops working?

Report the listing on the report page. The team reviews it and removes it if the link is dead or the account changed type.

Why does TeleSearch refuse channels and bots?

Only a personal account lets you message the creator directly, and channels and bots are the usual form of copycat accounts.

Does TeleSearch check that creators are 18 or older?

TeleSearch lists creators aged 18 and over and does not hold ID documents itself. On listings from partner agencies, the label "18+ confirmed by partner" means the partner told us it checked.
